PAROC FPS 17

Fire protection slab

PAROC FPS 17
PAROC FPS 17 is a multi-purpose fire protection slab (nom. density 170kg/m3) for passive fire protection of e.g., load-bearing steel, wooden and concrete structures. The product is installed on the surface of the material to be protected either with screws or welding pins according to the separate installation instructions.

The fire protection of several different structures can be solved with one easy-to-work product.

Mechanically attached fire protection is easy to open if necessary to check the condition of the structures.

In concrete structures, protective concrete can be replaced with fire protection, which means that the amount of concrete can be reduced. In this case, the total weight of the structures and the carbon footprint are reduced.

The fire protection system for steel structures is ETA-approved.

PAROC stone wool products are capable of withstanding high temperatures. The binder starts to evaporate when its temperature exceeds approximately 200 °C. The insulating properties remain unchanged, but the compressive stress weakens. The softening temperature of stone wool products is over 1000 °C.
