Installation of PAROC Hvac Section AluCoat T and PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T

PAROC Hvac Section AluCoat T and PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T is non-combustible stone wool pipe insulation for thermal and condensation insulation of pipework in buildings. It has a reinforced aluminium foil facing and tape in the longitudinal seam which prevents condensation and gives a quick installation.

General instructions

  • During the installation, both the object to be insulated and the insulation material should be at a minimum temperature of +10 Celsius.
  • Allow the temperature of the insulating material to adjust to the ambient installation temperature.
  • Always store the tape at room temperature.
  • Check that the surfaces to be joined with tape are clean and dry.
  • Ensure that pipe section seams are tight but without extra tension. The same applies at supports and other projecting parts.

Follow these instructions to insulate straight pipes:

Installation of sections and bends Clean the surface carefully.
Installation of sections and bends Remove the release paper and put pressure on the tape with a spatula.

In order to secure the installation, additional fasteners are required.

Option 1 - Galvanized wire

Installation of sections and bends Put galvanized wire around the section.
Installation of sections and bends Lock the wire. Three wires per section are needed.

Option 2 - Galvanized wire, spiral winding

Installation of sections and bends

Spiral winding of the galvanized wire. Lock the wire one time per section.

Option 3 – Bands

Installation of sections and bends There are different plastic or metallic bands available that can be used.
Installation of sections and bends Three bands per section are recommended. Do not apply the bands with too much force, since the facing might break.

Option 4 - Tapelock

Installation of sections and bends Put the tape around the section.
Installation of sections and bends Use the “tapelock” method where the tape is fastened glue against glue.
Installation of sections and bends Fold the tape so that the glue side is attached to the facing.
Installation of sections and bends For cold installations where the facing is used as a vapour barrier,
Installation of sections and bends you need to tape all circumferential joints with joint with suitable alutape.
Installation of sections and bends Use the “tapelock” method where the tape is fastened glue against glue.
Installation of sections and bends Fold the tape so that the glue side is attached to the facing.
Installation of sections and bends Cut the sections to fit.
Installation of sections and bends Tape the joints.
Installation of sections and bends Cover the insulation ends with end flange.
Installation of sections and bends
Installation of sections and bends Secure the end flange with galvanized wire.

Follow these instructions to insulate pipe bends:

Option 1 - Cutting segments

Installation of sections and bends Cut segment from the section.
Installation of sections and bends Apply the segments on the bend and tape the joints.

Option 2 – PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T

Installation of sections and bends Apply PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T on the straight pipe.
