Paroc has renewed the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing certification it first received in 2015 for construction products by Building Research Establishment Limited (BRE). Paroc was the first mineral wool insulation manufacturer to achieve BES 6001 and was again awarded a “Good” rating for its responsible sourcing of materials. The certification covers all Paroc's European production sites of thermal insulation.
“Environment has always been a key consideration for us and this certification is another way of proving our dedication to sustainability. Responsible sourcing demands show our suppliers that environmental awareness is a prerequisite when cooperating with us", says Emma Hansson, Sustainability Manager at Paroc Group.
Sustainability continues to be an important theme for the construction industry. Transparency, including responsibility in the supply chain, is a way to display sustainable operation throughout the industry. BES 6001 certification safeguards manufacturers' credibility while providing reassurance for contractors and building owners, as they meet their requirements for sustainable development.
Paroc’s operating principles guide the actions of all employees and all processes are certified according to current regulations and valid standards. All Paroc manufacturing plants and quarries are certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Our Polish plant is also certified according to OSHAS 18001.
