Mr. Ratia’s professional career spans four decades in top and senior management positions in international companies such as CRH, Scancem, Kone and Nokia. He has also acted as the chairman of the Confederation of Building Material Producers in Finland from 1998 to 2001 and as the chairman of the Confederation of Construction Industries in Finland from 2003 to 2004.
Currently Mr. Ratia is the chairman of the board of directors in a number of companies, including VR Group Ltd (Finnish Railways), Sponda plc, Medisize Oy and Edita plc. He is also a board member of YIT plc and Inspecta Ltd.
Mr. Ratia graduated from Helsinki University of Technology as a Master of Science in Engineering and from Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He was born in 1946.
