Where does stone wool come from?

Stone wool insulation is nature's own invention; harnessed for industrial use for more than 80 years. When the volcano erupts, the molten stone is fiberized by the wind on the slopes of the mountain. These thin fibres were the first form of stone wool. Stonewool does not burn, it protects from hot and cold, it insulates sound and protects from moisture.
